Member Update: Pay
There’s a lot going on at the moment, but I wanted to give members a brief update on where we are with the pay and contract reform discussions.
We started formal negotiations with HMRC in August and we have been having a number of meetings each week since then. As I’m sure you’ll appreciate there are significant issues with the pay and reward structure that need to be addressed and we are working through the detail of that.
The talks are still in confidence so I’m still not able to give you any detail on what a pay offer might look like but I wanted to reassure members that the discussions so far have been constructive and we are making progress.
There isn’t a timescale for when the talks are likely to conclude but as soon as I’m able to outline what the next steps are I will let members know.
If we do end up with an agreed pay offer then it will be down to a vote by members whether the offer is to be accepted. Please do ensure that your contact details are regularly updated. You can do this by logging onto the FDA website here, or by contacting the Membership Secretary here.
Please share this message with any of your colleagues who may be thinking about joining, we want as many people to have their say on any agreed offer. They can find out more about the wider benefits of membership and how to join here.
