Committee Elections – Reminder
Honorary Officers 2018 – 2020
ARC Committee is the main decision making body charged with driving forward the views and opinion of members. ARC Committee appointments run for two years and the term of office for the current ARC Committee members ends at our AGM on 22 May 2018.
We are seeking nominations for the Honorary Officers of ARC for the period May 2018 to May 2020. The Honorary Officer posts are: President; Deputy President; 6 Vice-Presidents and a Treasurer.
Elections for all other posts on committee will commence once the Honorary Officer posts have been filled.
Any member of ARC is eligible to stand for these posts, noting the following:
- That a person may stand for more than one post, but may not be elected to more than one post.
- That elections are resolved in the order of priority of posts, and that if a person be elected to a higher-priority post then they are automatically deemed to have withdrawn their nominations for any lower-priority posts for which they are standing.
Nominations should be made using the nomination form (ARC update 24). This must be signed by the candidate and two members of ARC. Forms should be sent to Zohra Francis, ARC Secretary, FDA, Elizabeth House, 39 York Road, London, SE1 7NQ and must arrive no later than noon on Friday 12 January 2018. Electronic submissions can be accepted by the deadline ([email protected]), providing they are followed up by post.
In February 2018 we will be seeking nominations for the remaining 16 places on Committee.
Candidates who are unsuccessful in the election for Honorary Officer posts can stand again in the Committee elections.
ARC seeks to achieve a diverse and representative committee, and we would like to hear from members in all geographical and professional areas of the business. To this end, all members are encouraged to stand either as an Officer or, in due course, for one of the non-officer posts. Officers take a more high profile role in ARC’s affairs and will hold a portfolio within Committee, so this is a great opportunity to profile your skills.
